Windows 10: Internet Explorer and Edge on Windows 10 SAC 1809 & audio playback

When I use Windows Media Player on Windows 10 SAC 1809 and am browsing the web using Internet Explorer or Edge certain sites (Facebook mainly, but there are others for a fact) degrade the audio experience massively - to the point that there is no point browsing the web using either browser and hoping to have a good audio experience through Windows Media Player!

The best solution I've found is go to the system settings "winkey+r, sysdm.cpl", select the "Advanced" tab, then click the "settings" button in the "Performance" section, and select the "Adjust for best performance" radio button.


This is all well and good, but the graphics turn to crap, intimating that, using MS browsers means that I cannot view the web as intended AND listen to my music play lists simultaneously!


To be honest I've had the same problem using Chrome - what the hell is going on? No browsing without audio crapification?


Any guidance will be very much appreciated. This problem is not random nor intermittent.

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Limited audio in Internet Explorer 11 or Edge after a Windows 10 update

Thank you for the update.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Adobe flash player and check if that helps. For Microsoft Edge, I suggest you to check if the Flash player services are turned on.

If you think that the recent update has caused the issue, I would suggest you to check if you are able to delete the downloaded update by following the below steps:

• 
  Click View your updates History
  
  Click uninstall updates on the top, the page installed updates would open and you can uninstall updates easily by right clicking the specific update.
