Windows 10: Internet Keep Disengaging and Reengaging Randomly

Hey there, I've been having this issue for quite some time where my Internet will literally random turn off and then take a bit to turn back on. It always random. Sometimes it literally does it when I turn on my PC sometimes the internet shows no connect. Unfortunately, I do not have access to Ethernet. I am using a USB Wifi Adapter called the Netgear AC1200 (AC6210). I've done some troubleshooting myself by determining and trying the following:

1. It is not ISP issue because my other devices within my home are still working fine during the short spontaneous issue.

2. I considered it being an USB driver issue because I do sometimes hear the sound Windows creates when you plug in and plug out a USB. I went into hardware manager, deleted the Universal Serial Bus Drivers and restarted the PC. Issue felt like it was resolved, but came back.

3. I tried installing the latest Netgear Genie Drivers for the Wifi Adapter AGAIN to see if it was fix the issue. It does not resolve the issue.

4. I went back into Hardware Manager and made use the USB properties was not allowing Windows to sleep my devices or manage my devices for power saving.

5. I've unplugged and plugged back in the device. I even tried different ports. (USB, USB 3.0)


At this point its extremely frustrating, especially while gaming when your internet just disconnects. Anybody else have or had this issue and know how to combat it? I was thinking about saying screw it and just purchasing a PCI-E Wifi Adapter to see if its the USB fault.

Driving mode won't disengage. Did you notice it?

I had that issue in my Lumia 920, and now the same with 640XL (8.1 with Update2). I also have Treasure Tags.

If I enter the Driving Mode menu, then it immediately disengages. But sometimes I forget, which makes me miss alerts, phone calls and texts...

Windows 10 freezes randomly
