Windows 10: Internet so slow on one PC only

Please let me know if you need any more info about the PC itself. I've had this machine for a long time and it usually does what I want with no problems.

Intel Core i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHZ

Installed Ram: 8GB

System Type: 64-bit

Windows 10 Home 20H2

Desktop is about 1.5m from the router.

Speed tests taken throughout the day have measured between 0.9-3.4Mbps download / 0.31 -3.0Mbps upload.

Over the last two days accessing the internet (wi-fi) on my desktop PC ONLY (tablets, phones and laptop is connecting fine) has been a nightmare. Web pages and videos are painfully slow to the point of not loading at all or taking a long time. I also can't connect to or download game updates from things like Origin (stays at 0 downloaded with 0B/sec).

I had a similar issue a few months ago and realised that as soon as I disabled the Windows 10 Xbox App everything was right as rain again. (It's still disabled so not the culprit this time).

My PC did update a few days prior (seemed like a fairly big update and tried to prompt me to switch my default browser etc when it restarted) but there is no record of any updates on the windows 10 update manager within the last week other than security updates. I have just restored the computer to a week ago (before I was having this issue) and the issue still remains so I guess it wasn't to do with the update?

I only have basic knowledge of computers so I've googled and tried the following things which made no difference:

  Reset my computer
  
  
• 
  Reset my router
  
  
• 
  Disabled and enabled the network adapter
  
  
• 
  Forgot and re-connected to my router
  
  
• 
  Started my PC with all non-windows start up and background apps disabled
  
  
• 
  Checked there are no newly installed apps I don't recognised
  
  
• 
  Checked there are no updates for network adapters and others in device manager
  
  
• 
  Checked there are no specific apps known to throttle (AMD Quic Stream etc.)
  
  
• 
  Turned off windows updates from other computers
  
  
• 
  Manually changed the DNS settings to use use the Google Public DNS (and put it back to automatic when that made no difference)
  
  
• 
  In Task Manager > Performance > Open Resource Monitor > Network, there doesn't seem to be anything sending/recieving large amounts
  

I've also followed steps to do the following in command center:

• 
  Disabled window autotuning
  
  
• 
  netsh winsock reset catalog
  

netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

• ipconfig/flushdns

I also restarted my computer in safe mode with networking and the problem was still present.

I've ordered an ethernet cable to come today but in the meantime is there anything anyone can suggest I try short of doing a full back-up of important files and doing a full reset?

• Have you installed all pending Windows updates?
• Have you tried connecting to some other Internet connection and check if the same issue occurs?

We suggest you to connect your system to some other network and check if the same slow Internet connection issue persists. If no then there must be issue with your Internet connection.

Slow Internet only on PC.

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Which Windows version are you using? Type winver in the search bar and press
  Enter to find out.
• Is your device still slow even if it's disconnected from the internet?
• Have you made any recent changes on your device prior to the issue?
• What have yo done so far to to resolve the issue?

Constant script errors and slow loading pages in 10 internet explorer 11

I have done the steps listed above. They have not helped and I am still getting constant script errors, along with slow loading pages. Are there any other suggestions?
