Windows 10: Internet working in browsers but unable to install any programs

Internet working in browsers but unable to install any programs such as antidote, Microsoft office 365, Teams and zoom app...They download but can't install. Unable to log in because says there is no internet connection...but there is. My kids spend all day doing virtual schooling. Its only software installation. I do believe its a firewall blocking but I am unable to get it to work. Please help...alot of money spent of needed softwares!Thank you for your time and help!!

Unable to set default browser

To set Internet Explorer/Edge as a default browser, I suggest you to follow the below given steps:

• Press Windows key and type Default Program in search and hit enter.
• Select "Set your default programs"
• Click on “Internet Explorer" or “Edge”.
• Select "Set this program as default” and Click OK.

Unable to access internet with certain programs

I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 running Windows 10. I am unable to access the internet with a couple programs. I downloaded the update from Windows 7 to 10. Everything runs fine but HP's support program and Print Shop V22.

I googled the problem and tried some of the suggestions listed, but I still can't access the internet. I am using Firefox and it connects fine along with Norton Internet Security. Any suggestions?

  From which browser are you trying to print?

  What exactly happens when you try to print? Did you receive any error message?

  Did you try the same from a different browser?
  
• 
  Did you install any third party security application?
  

This issue may arise due to:

• Security application conflicts.
• Printer driver issues.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to run printer troubleshooter and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click Printer.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

If the issue persists, make Internet Explorer as default browser and check if that helps.

• From the Start screen, type Default Programs.
• Click Default Programs in the search results.
• Click Set your Default Programs.
