Windows 10: interrnet not availeble and windows firewall problems

Lately i've been having a problem with my RAM (when i looj at my system properties it shows :

RAM... : 8.00GB (3.94 usable)

natutaly i searched the internet for a solution, where i was provided with 2 possible solutions:


1) run - msconfig


2) advanced system settings - performance - change - advanced - virtual memory - "No paging file".


And i enabeled "No paging file" and thought i had to press"Set" to save my changes, after which i got this warning (picture 3), frustrated from my RAM problem i just ignored it (pressed "Yes"), pressed "OK" twice and restarted my computer, after the restart i started getting a lot of error messages, the screen got all fragmented, and (worst of all):


1) my internet(network) got, lets say disabeled, at the point where the network icon wasnt shown at all,

cutting my acces to the internet completely


2) my audio was broken completely and no there was no sound comming from the computer


So i restarted my PC again this time disabeling "No paging file" after wgich the audio was fixed but the nwtwotk problem was still ongoing (picture 4) and i noticed that windows demanded i turn on windows firewall (picture 1) when i tried to do that (set default settings for windows firewall i was presented with the following error:


"cant change some of your settings error code......" ( i dont remember the errot code).


Upon further investigation i was adviced to set window defender firewall service (at services) to automatic and star the service but i stumbled upon a warning error (picture 2) for which i havnt found a solution . The RAM issue has sine been resolved though the network problem still stands. If anyone could help me, i'de be greatful.


P.S. sorry for the pour quality of the pictures, i had to take them with my phone, because... well i think you can piece the other pieces together. Insight concerning th RAM problem would be nice too though at this time not primary (could it be a hardware problem?)

Best free AV and firewall

Can Windows Firewall block outgoing connections yet? If not, it's one step above useless.

Look into Online Armor for a free firewall.

 

windows firewall question

yes i am sure i am having no issues with a router. this is at my work. and i only have issues with the windows 7 firewall.

as for adding ports, i do it the same as what is listed in your picture.

 

Good Antivirus + Firewall

I would never put anything Norton on my computer.

Nod32 is arguably the best antivirus. AVG is likely not as good, but it's free and at least pretty good.

Firewalls, I'd put Comodo and whatever "Tiny Personal Firewall" is named nowadays on your short list. I think Kerio might have sold it now and it's named something else. Otherwise, just put Comodo on your short list. I think the current version's ease of use has taken a step backwards, seems a bit counter-intuitive when trying to do certain things with it, but overall it does a good job and the price is right.
