FLTMGR.SYS BSOD when accessing program over network

Thank you. Had exactly the same problem. Suspected anti-virus, but it was Malwarebytes Anti-ransomware. Everything was fine last week, but today BSOD. Stopped Anti-ransomware and problem solved.

Trying it on a secondary machine thats only used for browsing, Foxconn MB, Dual Pentium, 4gb ram and 20gb hard disk, with win 10. Will comment later when I use the machine but so far looks pretty straight forward to run.

  12. I've been testing this over the last few weeks. A very interesting bug it has across many different anti-virus platforms is the unfortunate blocking of definition updating programs used in them. I found that in Webroot, Bit Defender, and several other well known antivirus packages that when a definition update occurred it quarantined the executable responsible for updating the anti-virus definitions.

*Smile I tested this in VM's I recommend you do the same. *Biggrin

  13. Introducing the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta

    Hi:*Smile

First: it was explicitly advised in the original announcement that this BETA software be run only in a VM or similar environment, not on a production system. (That's nothing unusual, as it's always been a "best practice" to run BETA software in a non-production environment, regardless of the program or publisher.)*Smile

    Second:
there were many reports of F/Ps with the first 2 beta builds.
These were largely fixed with the beta3 build.
Please see here for information: Beta3 Released

EDIT: BETA4 (0.9.12.336) is available for download only (not via auto-updater). Please see here
Please refer to the instructions about how to report a F/P: How to report a False Positive

    Thanks!

I hope they get this fixed and fully tested before they integrate with MBAM.
It would be a shame to mess up such a good product as MBAM.

  15. Please see here for the announcement and special download link to Beta5 of MBARW:

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde.../#entry1014661

As this is beta software, the MBARW team encourages beta users to install the product in non-production environments for testing purposes.

    Cheers,
    MM
