infrared on desktop messing with network connectivity. can't get it to switch off. it has locked onto my wifi adapter and won't let it go.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the model number of the HP desktop?
• What is the KB number of the Windows Update installed prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check.

1. Press Windows + X and click on
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand or double-click
   Imaging devices.
   
3. Right-click the name of the
   IR camera, and then select Uninstall device
   
4. Select Delete the driver software for this device, and then click Uninstall.
   
5. Go to
   HP Customer Support, and then enter your PC model number.
   
6. On the Software and driver results page for your PC model, download and install the driver for the IR camera.

If you still face the issue then perform the steps as mentioned in this article, if you are running Windows 10 1709 Pro or below version:

Windows Media Center IR Remote on Windows Vista Ultimate

No, I havent purchased the Windows Media Center IR Remote yet. But the Remote comes with the IR Receiver at the place where I'm going to purchase it from.

So, I just want to confirm this, I can switch from my Cable TV to my PC Desktop with the Media Center IR Remote on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit if my cable box is connected to my monitor via composite connector and my monitor to my PC via DVI-D connector?
