Windows 10: Is 0203-835-5642 a legitimate Microsoft support number?

Message on screen with voice message saying computer has been locked, asking to contact Microsoft Support on 0203-835-5642. Options on screen are Ignore or Scan. Then Ignore or Run Safe. Is this a scam?

Help Support Centre scam?

I have had a very insistent call from someone claiming to be from the Windows Help Support Centre, and his "supervisor". They got me to bring up a list of all "services" on my computer, most of which were "Running" and about 20% of which were "Stopped".
They claimed that all the "Stopped" services are evidence of intrusion into my system. Is that nonsense?

I tried to get the phone number from which they called.

• it appears to be 0203 630 1206, but
• they told me 0203 526 6265, and
• they gave me 0118 328 0178 as the number to call back on

Is there any way to check if these are genuine numbers?
