Windows 10: Is a re-install of Windows 10 necessary?

PC PowerSpec, G428, Windows 10, latest update installed.

48 GB RAM

I installed all software Adobe Creative Cloud, Office 365 on C: drive SSD, 500 GB.

I save my work on D: drive HDD, 2 TB.



I started having problems finding files after Dropbox distributed their desktop app. I discovered that clients were receiving out-of-date documents by email, and eventually I realized that I had a Dropbox folder on C: drive and another almost identical Dropbox folder on D: drive. Of course, Big Mama Dropbox who I have used for all my work since they opened way back when divined that she would live on C: drive, even though her primary folder had always been happily parked on my D: drive.

LongStoryShort, I tried for weeks to install one and only one Dropbox folder on D: drive, with all my work living in the cloud in the meantime. Dropbox help could not solve the issue.



Anyway ... I decided I could live with that, but in the process, I think I committed homicide or suicide, via incompatible folder and file PERMISSIONS. Now when I need to upload a folder from D: drive to the Dropbox cloud, or directly from D: to C:, I receive a message that I do not have the appropriate PERMISSIONS, or that C: cannot locate files on D: drive !!!.

Also, this keeps popping up: Error 0x80070780 - The file cannot be accessed by the system.



The worst effect is that I work primarily in Adobe Illustrator and it now takes five minutes to change the color of an object in a drawing.



Do I need to re-install Windows 10??? Is there another way that a non-techie like me can straighten this out???

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
