    Is Gears of War 4 Actually Installing? (PC, Windows Store, 163gb so far)


    I purchased Gears of War 4 yesterday for my PC, and at first it said there was 160.1gb to download, so I left it on overnight. I’ve woken up this morning and it’s actually now at 162.6gb, and still downloading. Is there some kind of bug going on, or is the game actually that big? Seems a bit ridiculous that the game can be THAT big, and I’ve also no idea why it said 160.1gb at first, yet it’s now gone past that and still seems to be downloading. I’ve attached a screenshot below to show what I mean.


    It says it’s downloading at 26.7 Mb/s as well, which is wrong as my internet speed only goes up to 5 Mb/s unfortunately, hence why I left it running overnight.

    Windows Store Gears of War 4 install hard locks PC

    Has anyone encountered the Windows Store hard locking a PC before? When trying to install Gears of War 4, my machine completely hard locks and becomes totally unresponsive to anything but a hard power down with the power button and restart. It locks
    up after an hour or so (maybe after the download finishes and it's trying to install?). It did it twice yesterday. Last night I just let it run, when I checked on the machine at about midnight the screen was on with the time of about 9:30 on the clock.
    I deleted the partial download and stopped it from trying to download again and after that the PC ran just fine through the night. My PC has never exhibited a hard lock before and it seems to correlate to the Gears 4 install trying to run. Any suggestions?
