I have Outlook 2016 on this machine but I use Thunderbird because I use Android phones so I run my calendar from Google calender, ( synchronisation between devices without thinking about it), and the synchronisation is better between Google and Thunderbird than Google and Outlook

I'd go so far as say that desktop email clients are dinosaurs when you have the convenience of services like gmail which you can access from anywhere and has really good filtering. If you have an Android smartphone you can access your email on the go.

    Is IncrediMail Safe?

Just downloaded and tried EM client - Failed first hurdle, although the rest looked OK

I use AnyDo Pro (browser and phone app based), to handle my to-do lists and in Thunderbird and although I can't actually integrate it, I can add the web page fully working into a TAB.

No way I could find to integrate AnyDo and EMClient *Sad

  5. The website makes a simple thing like reading email unnecessarily complicated, and I only have or need 1 internet device.

The main problem I have with eM Client is that it has about a %40 chance of refusing to download a message, using the erroneous claim that my computer's offline.

IncrediMail is not a good app to have on your system, seen by many security apps as a PUP.

  8. Is IncrediMail Safe?

Also was told it was a torrent or something like that all I know is it did slow sometimes right down and take ages to load and sometimes freeze
When posted about it on their forum got told nothing they could do about it and to switch back to an earlier version
So was glad Mail App came along as no trouble with that at all

In your Post #5, you said " I guess maybe it was the reason I had to reinstall WinME about once a month. "

So to make sure if Incredimail is the culprit or not, use this link to completely remove Incredimail.
    http://help.incredimail.com/incredim...article_id=319

See if you still have to reinstall WinME after that.
You can always reinstall Incredimail if it is not the culprit.

Can you explain how having one client on everything makes it complicated.

  11. I suppose that, if I had multiple devices, the GMail site might actually be simpler, but a local client automatically looks for and downloads mail periodically, and when it's working properly, it notifies me automatically.

If you read one email on say your smartphone and then went on to desktop gmail you would find that it has been synced and marked as read. Gmail on all the devices should be in the same state.

    Is IncrediMail Safe?

That's just the same behaviour you get with a desktop client, except with a desktop client you have the ability to have lots of inbox's and providers at the same time.
