Windows 10: Is IncrediMail Safe?

I forgot to mention that I have two e-mail providers, which makes one more advantage to a local client in my case. (I'm not sure whether client is the accepted term, but it's the term used by Thunderbird.)

 

the way I work my email/Calendar is a little unusual I think.

I have a main account, (g-Mail), which I access via Thunderbird for any major work and the web interface on the PCs when I have Firefox open, (most of the time). I also access this account from my Android devices. As these are all using the same IMAP account they are synchronised more or less instantly as I work.

Also as my PCs and Android devices are synchronised, I always get a notification when a mail arrives, (on the PC from my phone)

I also have a number of other accounts to perform specific tasks - these are all set to be collected into my main gMail account every few minutes so are all readable in one place. I also run many filters on incoming mail to sort them into folders for organisation - I used to do this in the desktop client but found that gMail's filters were just as good and a little quicker.

The same sort of integration applies to my Calendar and my to-do list

 

And a very undesirable PuP that you will have trouble to get rid of.

 

Yes took me many hours to get rid of it all
In the end had to use Revo Uninstaller to completely remove it

 

And even Revo does not get it all. But the remains of the bugger are benign. So there is nothing to worry about.

 

incredimail isn't safe, its bundled with OpenCandy, Malware Auto-downloader and add hundred of Unknown Registry entry to the system

 

I Tried it when I had Windows ME .I wasn't Happy with it and it was really hard to remove even when I thought it was gone things kept poping up for weeks after .I would stay clear of that program. I use windows live mail I have used it for a long time and I haven't had any problems with it at all.Jerry *Smile

 

I know this is an old post but I am sure that many out there are using Incredimail yet and I wondered if anyone had changed their thoughts on it. I have used it for probably 10 years or so and it has its issues but it is also part of Microsoft now to my understanding so I am unsure why some sites still see it as a risky site to use. Is it just that it is vulnerable more to viruses and malware and if so then why does Microsoft have it?
