Windows 10: Is it okay to download a Free Anitvirus Software?

My Trend Micro Protection expires 10/11/2019 if I download a Free Antivirus Software will I lose most or all of my current documents when the current Protection expires?

my computer keeps on downloading random software

I also suggest you to follow the steps below and check:

• press Windows + r to open run command.
• Run services.msc to open Services Manager.

One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.
