With Windows XP and 2003, we were able to purchase laptops in China that had the local Windows Home edition, which was locked into Chinese as the language. But were then able to pay to upgrade to Windows Pro, to unlock all the language options in order to set it to English. Can we do the same with Windows 11?Notes: I've been able to find some response to this question from early 2022, at which point there didn't seem to be enough information available. Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

Change your Windows display language

Windows 11- Change language.

Hello-

I bought a Huawei laptop in China.

I want to change the language from Chinese to English.

I'm unable to do this.

I can download the english keyboard but I'm not able to change the system langaue.

Any suggestions?

Bought a laptop in China, want to change language to English

I bought a laptop in China, but the only display language option is Chinese; it won't let me change it to English. The OEM description says CoreCountrySpecific, is this related? Is there any way I can change the language?
