Is there a way to increase the number of recent files that are shown in quick access? I'm going through all the different folder options but I'm not seeing it anywhere.

  2. How to display recent files in quick access

I know to right click on the quick access, go down to options then click show recent files. then i hit apply then ok. then i right click on quick access, go to options, and it is not checked. i click and repeat to have same results.

I can't get it to show the recent files list.

  3. Quick Access

    The reply isn't helpful unfortunately.

The question/posting wasn't about deleting files or permanently deleting files.

But about the display of recent files in Quick Access view, which is shown when opening File Explorer => Windows 10.

Quick Access shows a list of (supposedly) recent files that have been opened. It doesn't automatically update when other files are opened.

My question was about listings in Quick Access that showed files as having been moved or renamed when in fact they had been deleted (I would suggest the Recycle Bin).

So to my partner the Quick Access listing was stating I had (attempted to) move/rename the files (and therefore hide them from her) whereas I had actually deleted them.

I would appreciate someone verifying this is plausible with the way file listings are listed in Windows 10/Quick Access.

    Recent files access

Hi my name is Ross, I'm an independent advisor. I'd be happy to help with your issue.

Depending on the update being installed this can sometimes be an entirely new version of the software so these list don’t carry over.

You can access recent documents by following these steps:

    Press Windows Key + E.

Under File Explorer, select Quick access.

Now, you will find a section Recent files which will display all the recently viewed files/documents.

Regarding your issue with Facebook, have you installed the app and you are having issues opening this?

If so I would suggest going to settings/apps and removing the app before reinstalling, this clears up most issues.

    Regards,

    Ross
