Windows 10: Is it possible to download your background without finding it in files?

Last school year, my school gave us all newer laptops. At the end of the year I had made a background. For some reason, the school wipes all files that aren’t to a program or in folders over the summer. This has caused me to lose the image as it wasn’t in a folder. It is still displayed as my background, but I can’t do anything with it. Is there a way to download it from my background? If so, what is it?

Finding .IMG or .ISO file in Windows 8.1 Pro download

Hey guys,

In preparation for my new PC I downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro from Dreamspark, and I wanted to burn it to a DVD, so I can install it on the new PC.
However, in the downloaded files I can't find a .IMG or .ISO file anywhere. I understood that the .IMG file is the one you need to burn to the DVD?

Any suggestions?

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

How to download pictures from web and make it as a desktop background in windows 10

Hi,

You can download files from web using Internet Explorer. To help you in downloading photos in Internet Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open a new tab in Internet Explorer. Go to a site where you want to pick an image.
• Right-click on the image that you want to download.
• Click on Save picture as....
• Choose a folder where you want to save the image.
• Rename the file if you want to. Click on Save.

Change desktop background and colors. Once that you click the Browse
button, a new window will popup and prompt you to select a file folder. Find the file folder where you saved the image that you've downloaded.
