Windows 10: Is it possible to reset a forgotten Windows 10 logon password?

So my mum never has to sign in on her Win10 PC - when you boot it, it logs her in automatically and just boots to the desktop.


One time not long ago, it booted up to her password screen but she has no idea what the password is.


We restarted it and then it went straight to the desktop, phew.


But is it actually possible to reset her password if that happens again?

if it is a microsoft account you can reset it it by following the forgotten your password link when logging in at
https://account.microsoft.com/

if it is the password required when viewing saved passwords in credential manager - this is you windows account login password.
