Windows 10: Is it possible to turn off the ctrl + w shortcut.

I work as a chat agent for an employment service where I answer employment-related questions from job seekers and employers. A few times the browser that the chat was on mysteriously closed during a chat. I discovered why on Friday when it did it again. I accidentally hit ctrl-w instead of shift-w, which closed the window the browser was in. Is there a way to turn off ONLY that shortcut? I really like the other shortcuts, especially the stick-keys. Thank you!

Ctrl + W works as if Ctrl + V... but only once

Turns out TenClips Clipboard Manager overrides Ctrl + W by default

I got my Ctrl + W back by:

• Opening TenClips settings
  
• Removing the shortcut for "Paste purified text", which was set to Ctrl + W by default
  

Apparently these settings will be reset on reboot unless you pay for TenClips... so I am now using CopyQ

If Ctrl + W does not work for CS2 even after trying a new keyboard and ensuring that Toggle Keys, Sticky Keys, and Filter Keys are off, there are a few other things you can try:

• Remap the Ctrl + W keybind: You can try remapping the Ctrl + W keybind to a different key combination in CS2. To do this, follow these steps:
  
  1. Open CS2 and go to the Options menu.
     
  2. Click on the “Keyboard/Mouse” tab.
     
  3. Find the “Toggle Weapon” keybind and click on the “Change” button.
     
  4. Press the new key combination that you want to use for the Toggle Weapon keybind.
     
  5. Click on the “OK” button to save your changes.
     
• Verify the integrity of the game files: It is possible that some of the game files for CS2 have become corrupted. You can verify the integrity of the game files through Steam by following these steps:
  
  1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
     
  2. Right-click on CS2 and select “Properties.”
     
  3. Click on the “Local Files” tab.
     
  4. Click on the “Verify integrity of game files…” button.
     

Steam will then scan the game files for CS2 and replace any corrupted files that it finds.

• Update your graphics drivers: Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes cause problems with games. To update your graphics drivers, follow these steps:
  
  • For NVIDIA graphics cards:
    
    • Go to the NVIDIA website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
      
    • Once the drivers have been downloaded, run the installation program and follow the on-screen instructions.
      
  • For AMD graphics cards:
    
    • Go to the AMD website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
      
    • Once the drivers have been downloaded, run the installation program and follow the on-screen instructions.
      
• Reinstall CS2: If none of the above steps work, you can try reinstalling CS2. To reinstall CS2, follow these steps:
  
  1. Uninstall CS2 from your computer.
     
  2. Delete the CS2 folder from your Steam directory.
     
  3. Restart your computer.
     
  4. Reinstall CS2 from Steam.

Ctrl W not working

I recently updated my computer to Windows 11, and I was having an issue with the GameBar, where whenever I used the shortcut ctrl w, the GameBar popped up. I found a way to disable this (by removing the GameBar), but now my ctrl w shortcut won't work. Any help would be much appreciated.
