  1. Is it safe to uninstall the lastest update kb4592438 ??

I read that the lastest windows update damages SSDs. I don't want my computer to die so I thought of uninstalling the update. Should I do it or are there any reasons why that is not a safe move?

How Do I Uninstall Update KB3140741?

    Hi Martin,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I will do my best to fix the issue.

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps. I suggest you to boot the system in safe mode and uninstall the Windows update. Click on the article

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

To uninstall the Windows update follow the steps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Program and features.
    • Click on View installed updates, right click on the Windows update KB number and
      uninstall it.

If that does not help to fix the issue, I suggest you to go to the computer manufacturer website download the display driver for Windows 8.1 and install the same in compatibility mode.

    We'll be back.

You can also, temporarily block the Windows update. Click on the article
