  1. Is Java harmful to the computer?

Hi, I have a PC where there is an administrator (my father :]) and I have an application (Badlion Client, a client with modifications for Minecraft) and with this application I can play these mods. As you may know, Minecraft is Java, this client is also Java, because this is the way it is you have to enter the administrator password every time to start the application. When I asked my father to give me admin he didn't want to do it, he said the application gets too many rights and would spy out the passwords etc. I just don't get it because Badlion Client is a certified program, I guess the application doesn't spy passwords. Are there arguments for this or is my father right?

Thank you in advance for an answer. Is Java harmful to the computer? :)

    :)
