    Best in car GPS unit?

    Tomtom GPS's are great, esp the models with the various famous voices (Mark Myers from Austin Powers etc..). Navman aren't too bad, but still prefer Tomtom.

    I've had a TomTom and a Garmin. In fact my TomTom is so old, it looks like an old CRT TV, well it has that shape, it is from before TomTom started making flat units. I switched to a Garmin for a while to try it out, and it completely sucked compared to the TomTom.

    TomTom does offer lifetime map and traffic updates on a lot of their units now.

    This is the one I would get if I was buying today:
    TomTom XL 350TM 4.3" GPS Navigation with Lifetime ...

    Internal GPS and TomTom

    Hi Gaz, just to let you know that i also have a nokia n95 8gb and i've sorted the problem with the internal gps vs tomtom. My tomtom is now working with the internal gps and it works perfectly fine, this is 100% true, no jokes.
