Windows 10: Is there a PC that will install windows 10 1803 - my three won't

What make/model of PC is there that will install windows 10 1803 - my three won't.

I posted a month ago about my main computer failing 103 times to install 1803

Now it is broken completely. It just flashes 'restoring previous version of windows' then powers off and back on over in a loop.

I suspect the repeated attempts at installing these updates has worn the SSD drive out.


I had Microsoft remote access machine for 4 hours and they couldn't install it. All drivers updated etc.


I have a PC that I bought last year and this too won't install 1703 or 1803

I don't think many people have installed these updates, maybe a few, the rest don't realise that it tried and reverted back to the old version. The Surface Pro took 19 attempts before it took 1703, that being a Microsoft product shows that only some do eventually.


Is there a machine that I can buy that will install them within say 15 or so attempts for sure?

Is there a way of increasing the time between attempts? 5 days is too short, if this could be extended to 30 it would be less of a headache. It gives a drop down with dates to try on - can this list be made a lot longer.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
