Is there a santard way to programatically control all the +103 rgb leds that are in RGB...

This post, is for know if there is a standard API supported or placed by Microsoft?. If not, I want to do this feature request.

The idea is for gaming or educational purpose.

    1) be able to light up and chose color of each individual led-key of these keyboards, so an APP can light up only usable keys, or in game can do lights effects based on what is happening in the game...., like when getting damage, to splash bright red glows on the keyboard, also the game can show the usable keys based in what is happening.

    2) Ofcourse, if an APP start controlling the leds from the keyboard, the internal automate light effect must be disabled, so let the software to control it.

    3) Also only the process with the foreground focus must be able to control the leds, so, avoiding collision with other processes.

    4) It must be STANDARD and supported by O.S. developers, because just the bare keyboard manufacturers won't work togheter if there is not a standard.

So, please, it is the year 2019, is a pity there is not a standard or support (or I am not aware of). Also I don't want to assle with obscure propietary mechanism done by vendors.

I placed it in Devices & drivers, because from all choises is the most near for this "O.S. feature request"

    :)

  2. installing Corsair HD Series HD140 RGB LED 140mm High Performance RGB

    • This product is intended as an expansion of CORSAIR’s HD140 RGB LED twin pack that includes the RGB LED hub and controller.
That was taken from the product page. So no hub included with the single fan purchases, but I would assume it has a 4-pin RGB header used to control the RGB LEDs.
That NZXT hub will take care of the lack of internal headers as well!

Connecting PC to TV with RGB Cable

RGB cable, I have not heard of that term in a long time, the only RGB in recent history is shiny and comes in pretty colors.

Can you elaborate how are you connecting your laptop to your TV with a RGB cable?

How to turn R/WEverything to batch: RGB Led automation

all of you kind people here at SuperUser Forums. I was wondering if you could help me find a solution to my problem. So, a brief intro to my problem. I recently built a PC featuring an MSI B350 Tomahawk, which just so happens to have an RGB LED Header. I jerryrigged an RGB strip and it worked, I could change the colours of the LEDs without any problems.

I later discovered, to my frustration, that I only could use 7 out of the 16,000,000 colours RGB has to offer. So, after some digging in the Internet, I discovered a way to control the RGB Levels by manually modifying some values in the Super I/O Chipset using R/WEverything. Fantastic! Now I can make an awesome rainbow effect. However, I didn't think it would be appropriate to click .rw files all the time just to change colours. I wanted to automate this process using a batch file, but it didn't work. So I found out that you could turn R/W commands into batch files, but the manual is really obscure and confusing.

Now, we get to the actual request:
I am going to upload one of the files. Can someone enlighten me how to convert the .rw file into commands then into a batch file? Or can someone do it for me?

Thanks for all your help (in advance),
    Matteo Pio Muscat.

P.S.: Please don't criticise me for using RWE to control an RGB Light setup and tell me to wait for MicroStar Inc.'s solutions. I want something silent, and besides, I am NOT going to wait 2 years for a colour cycle mode to be implemented into MSI Gaming APP. Thanks again.
