Windows 10: Is there a virus on my pc?

I installed a software that i didnt really know much of and after a few minutes my computer started installing random things like the opera browser and this antivirus called web companion. Since i didnt have much essentials things on it i decided to reset my computer. I went into the settings searched reset this pc and click on reset pc next to Reset This Pc. I think it might have been a virus.So if it was a virus will it be gone after the reset is done?P.S its windows 11 and currently resetting at the time im writing this.

steps taken for infected Pc's.


I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

Virus...NOOOOO!

Then its not a virus, i thought its a little strange that a virus was still going in safe mode. But i dont know what to suggest it could be? Are you using the same pc to connect to the internet, just with a linux partition?
