Before "updating" from windows 7 to windows 10, i used the windows 7 photo app to view images in full screen and switch between them inside the app using the arrow keys in chronological order.

After "updating" to windows 10, this is seemingly no longer possible. There is seemingly no way to make the windows 10 photo app open pictures in full screen, and using photo apps other than the windows 10 photo app (including the old photo app from windows 7), you can only change between pictures ordered by name, not by date, as they do not "respect" the order you have put the files in in the file explorer.

Basically, i want to be able to open pictures in full screen, and switch between them ordered chronologically (by date) using the arrow keys on my keyboard. Is there no way of doing this on windows 10?

  3. is there a way to open files (such as pictures) in the same window?

so ive been useing windows 8 since it was about a month old, and this always worked this way for me, if im in file explorer looking at pictures and i open one, a window opens for the image viewer then if i go back to the file explorer and click another picture it will open in the same window that the other picture was in.

now when i upgraded to windows 10 it made me use the new win10 photo viewer, it was ok but it always opened pics in a new window. so i found out you could use the old win8 photo viewer in win 10 so i did that, but it still opens in a new window everytime.

is there any way to make each picture open in the same window like it did in windows 8?

Pictured Are Blurry in Windows 10 Photos App

Anyone else finding that pictures in the Windows 10 Photos App are blurry? The same pictures are perfect in the Windows Photo Viewer.

I'm not sure how to demo it as I don't know how it's going to display on your screen and I'm not sure whether TenForums compresses uploaded images. I'll try with a PNG of both the Photos app and Windows Photo Viewer side-by-side.

I can't see a way to view images at their 100% original size in the Photos App (which is really stupid), so I've also attached just the 'Tabs' dialogue box as well. Because it's smaller, it should display at 100% magnification on your screen and therefore not be subjected to downscaling-to-fit.

Alternatively, just take a screenshot of the Internet Explorer 'Tab' settings (in 'Internet Options'), and open the screenshot in both the Photos App and Windows Photo Viewer and compare them.
