Windows 10: Is there an registry key that change if monitor go off by sleep or when i push monitor...

Hello everyoneI would need to know if, there is a registry value in Windows 10 that is automatically changed when the monitor is put into standby mode or when I manually turn off the monitor.So when the monitor is inactive or off, Windows must obviously know it, so there will be a value that changes.I need it because to be able to use this value for system automation.Thanks

Dual monitors not waking from sleep

Hi all,

I'm having issues where my monitors won't wake from sleep in a dual monitor setup. This only occurs after waking them from a sleep state, and they work fine when booting up my PC from scratch.

I have tested both monitors in a single monitor setup and the issue goes away completely as they wake from sleep just fine when only using a single monitor. This issue only seems to occur when using both monitors simultaneously.

I have tried the below steps to no avail to remedy the issue:

• Changed the DisplayPort cable
  
• Uninstalled graphics drivers with DDU and reinstalled them again
  
• Made sure Windows update was completely up-to-date, including any optional drivers
  
• Made sure there were no unknown devices in Device Manager
  
• Turned Link State Power Management under PCI Express in Power Plan settings to off
  
• Completely formatted my PC and reinstalled Windows 11
  

None of these steps have resolved the issue.

Any assistance provided will be much appreciated!

 

All desktop windows are move/push-over to Main display after waking-up from sleep mode

I'm happy to find these as work-around, very helpful at least to my systems scenario.

All my desktop windows retained the exact location in both built-in and external monitor, before and after Sleep mode.

Step 1. Press the below keys before the computer turn to sleep mode

(typically, this is prior to leaving my computer for a break)

• Windows logo key + M

Step 2. Press the below keys after signing back or activating from sleep mode

• Windows logo key + Shift + M

 

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.
