  1. Is this a windows issue?

My computer has been relatively fine since I bought it around a year ago, but since yesterday, I’ve been having some serious issues.

Yesterday, my monitor froze, and my computer wouldn’t turn off. Alt f4, control alt delete, even the windows key, and nothing happened. Even my power button had no effect. I had to flip the power switch to restart it.

Today, around the same time that happened, 9:00 am, just a day later, I had a similar occurrence. My screen froze, a few seconds passed, it’s not completely off, turning back on and shuffling through different modes. Once again, my power button does nothing. The fans are churning as fast as they’ve ever spun, and I had to flip the switch for a second time.

Is this a windows issue? I’m really stumped here. I have no idea what the problem is, and no idea how to fix it. This only started happening recently and it’s pretty aggravating.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
