    *UPDATE*

This issue is now resolved, deleting the registry entry for hosted networks and rebooting did fix it. Sorry for late update, but was working 16-20 hours a day the last few days, so was unable to load up the laptop, kind of crashed as soon as I got home.

Okay, the issue now is only present when I switch between wifi networks. I had to reset network when I tried to connect to my work wifi, then I had to do it again when I got home to use my home wifi.

  3. Well two things. Now that you have the other issue out of the way may be you want to try a complete network reset. You will lose passwords to networks.

You could do that or you could go in and "Forget" those existing wireless networks, all of them, and they reconnect one by one ensuring the Connect automatically is checked marked.

Myself I would go with reset network to clear out things we may not have thought of. One person's opinion.

Edit 1: Please ensure you have the power saving option for your wifi adapter disabled. Device manager, properties, Power Mgmt tab, uncheck allow Windows to shut off adapter to save power.

Power Options was the first thing I tried when this first showed up, and I have to do the full network reset to connect to a new WiFi each and every time.

  5. Could you go into services and look for

    WLAN AutoConfig

It's startup type should be Automatic. Could you confirm please.
