Windows 10: ISSUE: wireless adaptor hidden in device manager and kernel security check failure

Hi there. I have been facing this issue since November last year, whereby my wifi suddenly stops working and when I go to device manager, I realise that my wireless adaptor IntelR Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is hidden with error code 45.


This issue cannot be resolved by using the troubleshooter, "scanning hardware changes" nor restarting my computer. It does, however, resolve temporarily after my laptop force restarts due to kernel security check failure, until the next time the wireless adaptor disappears again.


My last windows updates appear to be in 2017, while this issue only surfaced in Nov 2020.


Would anyone be able to advise on the next steps? Is this a problem that should be resolved by bringing my laptop to a professional?

Recieving the BSOD once a day, at least. My drivers are up to date so far as I know and I've tried various methods of troubleshooting including the steps outlined here:

There's a lot of reason for booting in to a BSOD, like problems with the driver for your display adapter or the
video output is being sent to an unexpected port. KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE error is usually caused by Memory or Driver incompatibility issues or corruption of system data.

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to the issue?

Kernel Security Check Failure error

My win 8.1 laptop is giving Kernel Security Check Failure error at random and laptop keeps rebooting. Pl suggest how to fix this
