Windows 10: Issue with computer requring two boots every start since building.

Hi, I built a new PC at the end of last year with a RTX 2070 Super, 3600, 16gb ram.

I have required to turn it off and on twice every boot since building it - however because I had other software issues with bad installs and drives I ended up just leaving it as I just wanted to use my PC.

I now however have more time on my hands, and would like to fix it!

I checked my error logs and I constantly have these errors:

Window errors in event viewer

I checked this video to try and correct these errors and he said to go to this location and make a new folder:

C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local

However when I go there I have all these random files: like wtf, over 2000 items

Can I just delete them, follow his advice and possibly be fixed?

Also I want to note, I also get a red light on my motherboard (it makes my connected LEDs red too) when I boot first time.

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

Lets start with what you're going to use this computer for, not what you want to put in it.

Rules/steps to building a computer (in chronological order):
First rule: Determine what your needs are.
Second rule: Define your budget.
Third rule: Pick parts.
Fourth rule: Review parts several times.
Fifth rule: Buy said parts.
Sixth rule: Build it.

You are on rule/step 1. Go through the list until you're done.

 

Windows Start issue

Try this:

Right click on your start menu, and click on System:





When the system window comes up, click on Advanced System Settings:




There, click on Startup and Recovery:




Then in the top menu you will have a choice of OSs. Select the one you want to boot to defaultly and uncheck the box for "Time to display list of operating systems."




That should make it boot into Windows 10 without your intervention.
