Windows 10: Issue with Macrium Reflect

Hi everyone, so for Christmas I gave my parents my old computer, and I took out their hard drive from their old dell computer and put it in the new one and am trying to clone it to an ssd so it’s faster. However, when I clone it with macrium, it doesn’t clone the OS. There are 3 partitions on the hard drive, and the first two cloned. I tried to clone the OS again by itself and it said completed but then doesn’t show up as a partition in the ssd on macrium. I’ve searched and no one else seems to have this problem, does anyone have any idea?

-the ssd has enough space for the OS -The ssd shows up as disk 1 and the hdd shows up as disk 2 in macrium, which I found weird since it’s usually the other way around

I’ve done this on my laptop before and didn’t encounter this issue, so I really don’t know what it could be. Thanks.

1. What is the version of SyncToy installed on your computer?

2. What is the version of Macrium Reflect installed on your computer?

3. As per you query, you say "scheduler not working for macrium reflect", are you referring to Task scheduler?

4. If it is Task scheduler, Is Task scheduler working on all programs, other than Macrium Reflect ?

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.

trying to create a task for synctoy, or any other program fails, also scheduler not working for macrium reflect either, any help appreciated.
