Windows 10: Issue with Password Textbox Not Appearing on Login Screen After Windows 11 24H2 Update

After updating to Windows 11 version 24H2, I am experiencing a recurring issue where the password textbox does not appear on the login screen. This problem occurs intermittently, both after the lock screen and following a restart.Sometimes, the textbox will eventually appear after multiple restarts, but in instances where I lock the screen, the textbox disappears entirely, preventing me from logging in. Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

Characters not appearing in windows 10 password textbox

When I type my password into the windows 10 startup screen textbox nothing appears in the textbox, not even the dots that normally do, although it does acknowledge the enter key and indicates the password is incorrect. I tried several times and am convinced
my password was correct. I also used the touchscreen keyboard with the same result.

I don't know if this is relevant, but the photograph shown on startup was different. It was a hillside, next to an ocean, covered with homes at dusk.

I was doing a warm start. I eventually logged in by forcing a cold boot and performing a normal login procedure.

If this is a bug then I am very concerned about Windows 10 security. This should be a robust routine. It does a simple job with minimal variations.

I am concerned that I am a victim of a keystroke logger. At the very least this is a bug.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Windows Password at Startup issue

The linked solution was using Safemode... i get the same problem in safemode, no password promt even appears. Ive just found the page i followed when deleting the entries! I deleted the 4 items listed in the first part of this link "Step 3: On the right panel, select the four keys: DefaultAccessPermission, DefaultLaunchPermission, MachineAccessrRestriction, MachineLaunchRestriction and then delete them"
