Windows 10: Issue with Recent Update for Windows 10 Version 1709

I installed the most recent update for windows 10: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4457142


When the update was installed, I was having issues with the Xbox app. I kept receiving an error when trying to connect to a party. This has something to do with "server connectivity" in the network settings on the Xbox app. I attempted all of the solutions to this problem on the following reddit post; however, none of the solutions worked for me.

I remembered that I had recently installed a Windows update, so I tried uninstalling it to see if it would fix the problem. Sure enough, it did. So there seems to be an issue with the most recent Windows update that affects server connectivity on the Xbox app.


Just thought I would share. Hopefully this issue can be resolved.

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

Unable to update Window 10 Pro version 1607 to version 1709

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1607 to the latest version 1709 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer
• Ran the DISM.exe

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101 - 0x30018
• 0x900704c7

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
