  1. Issue with the connection being dropped

Starting yesterday afternoon i have starting getting issues with the internet connection, as i am working using RDP i was getting disconnected every couple of seconds for few seconds which made my work a hard piece to do,

I have tried 4 different Wifi's and it was all the same on each one of them

    Details of my laptop:

    System Product Name:HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cp0xxx

    BIOS Date:10/19/2018

    BIOS Version:F.21

    OS Build:17134.1.amd64fre.rs4_release.180410-1804

    Device: Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter #2

    PNP ID: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B822&SUBSYS_831B103C&REV_00\00E04CFFFEB8220100

    Guid: {85674C33-6DAD-414C-91DA-C5B08B1EFD1B}

    Current driver version: 2024.0.8.104

    Driver date: 4-6-2019

    DevNode flags: 0x180200a

I have tried installing the latest drivers for the wireless card, resetting, changing power settings, uninstalling the device, resetting that didnt bring me any luck,

If you have any ideas how could i make this work please let me know, same goes if there is anything else needed from me,

    Thanks

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

Issue with the connection being dropped

    Internet Connection Keeps Dropping

Hello, are you always connected to the same router - or are you skipping to others? Suggest disabling these settings:

Also check your channel is not congested, and signal strength is adequate. There are freeware tools which can show you this information.

You might have to change band (frequency) - and in one scenario where someone was renting a place it was suggested the owner was restricting Wifi bandwidth...!

I'm sure others more experienced in these issues will comment.
