Windows 10: Issue with USB and Macrium reflect rescue media

    Issue with USB and Macrium reflect rescue media


    I am trying to use some old USB drives for rescue media, but whether it is because they are usb 2.0 or some other reason, two of them so far do not work. When I try to boot to the media, it says "No OS found" or "operating system missing" (I can't remember the exact wording right now). Is there a size and a formatting style (fat vs NTSC) that is necessary to get this to work? Win 10 Home edition.

    They generally do if just restoring / backing up to local or usb drives, but may have issues if you try to use it to say restore from a network drive as network drivers are usually pc specific.

    Also, some older bioses are not fully winpe 10 compatible, and you may need to use an earlier winpe e,g. winpe 5. This should not be an issue for a surface pro 4 though.

    Macrium Reflect 7.1.3317 - PE 10 Rescue Media build isssue.

    It's solved.

    Macrium Reflect 7.2 solved my issue. They re-engineered the entire PE environment.
    I suggest upgrading to 7.2 and creating new rescue media.
