Hello,I just got a new 4K monitor and was all excited to get this up and running as it's a big upgrade from my 8 year old 1080p one. When I plug the new monitor in, windows font and images as well as google chrome or anything else I use seem a little fuzzy. I run a dual monitor setup and the side monitor is still a 1080p and if I look at the same thing on the 1080p it looks way more crisp. When I go to display settings I set the resolution to 4k, but windows "recommends" 1080p see image. I don't understand why it recommends that--as if it doesn't recognize the monitor is 4k? If I switch the r

displaylink (dynadock 4k) not working with windows 10 laptop

I have a Toshiba dynadock 4k with an external monitor but I cannot see this monitor listed in my Windows 10 laptop display settings and cannot make my display appear on second monitor.

DisplayLink website suggests this may be a Windows 10 issue.

How do I get this working?

  3. Dual Monitor Setup issues - 4k and 1080p combination

The issue is worse than it seems at first. I have a 4k display (200%) scaling and a 1080p display (100% scaling) and even office apps look blurry on the 1080p display. If I unplug the 4k display and reboot the problem goes away. I believe the problem is
present on all apps and is a system issue. It's been suggested that to get the 100% scaling everything on both monitors is generated at 200% and then the part on the 1080p display is downsampled to 100%, resulting in the poor quality.

As it is Windows 10 is almost unusable with a very different DPI dual monitor setup.

4k monitor VS 1080 monitor issues

I have been using a 1080 144hz monitor for gaming for the past 6 months now and have been playing overwatch at 60frames CONSTANTLY (never any dips). I recently decided to get a second monitor that was 4k and 60hz. Upon setting it up and running overwatch,
i noticed thatupon entering a game, i received less than 30fps per game. The settings were not touched on neither overwatch NOR my 4k monitor. I'm confused as to how it runs slower on my newer, more expensive monitor. The overwatch settings were still 1080
settings and the game was still in full screen (as to how it was on my other monitor). I'm curious as to why overwatch runs slower on my 4k monitor compared to my 1080 monitor. Both are ASUS branded running windows 10 (i even played a game on my 1080 monitor
just to see if it was my computer but it seemed to be the game) Any idea as to why? Are my settings not fit for the monitor? i know it's not completely windows related however I'm a bit new at building PC's so i was wondering why this might happen.
