Windows 10: Issues after Windows 10 1903 update (SO 18142.145)

Hello.

I have two new issues afte the last update Windows 10 1903 update (SO 18142.145).


First issue is that i'm unable to keep the windows defender definitions when i reboot the pc.

I use to use it along with Malwarebytes....but when i rebbot the pc...as i said, windows defender desactivate itself and i have to choose the option (periodocal analyses) again and again.

If i just power on the laptop is ok...but if i need do reboot i have the bug i mentioned above.


Second issue is with the Ethernet connection i use with a 4G Pen.

I have the connection work fine...but randomly i have this message "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET" but the interface 4G said the connection is active.

I have to reconnect the modem and then i'm ok....until the next error message.


Anyone can help me?

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

keep in mind, as of recently, the FCU is installed on 5% of devices roughly.....

 

USB issue with win10 1903 update

1. What is the exact issue that you are facing with the USB drive?
2. What do you mean when you say "sub-directory link" and "if its saved on a USB drive"?
3. Is the USB drive letter changing itself after the 1903 update?

update to Windows 10, 1903

hi Microsoft:

Windows 10, 1903 is out but want to know when is the best time to update to 1903. Based on this website, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-information/status-windows-10-1903#442msgdesc, there are few issues with 1903. Should users wait weeks
or a month after 1903 is out or safe to update to it? In this, error attempting to update with external USB device or memory card attached, I've read in another website that update to 1903 via the desktop, not from the USB drive.
