Windows 10: Issues booting to Windows 10 Pro on New Inspiron 3670 desktop

Hello all. I am brand new to this forum. Im having issues booting to Windows 10 Pro on my
New Inspiron 3670 desktop. My SSD came from being on a Precision T1700. I have moved previously from an Optiplex 7020 SFF to the Precision. I have tried everything in the BIOS I can find on the Inspiron. It shows the SSD in the BIOS under the summary but not in the boot sequence.

Im thinking this has something to do with the SSD being under Legacy on the previous two Dells and this being a newer Dell wanting UEFI. Is this an MBR vs GBT issue? Is this something I have to change on my disk management on the Precision T1700, then it will boot to Windows on the Inspiron? Thank you so much for your time. Stay safe.

windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

 

Have issue with microphone on desktop or maybe there is no microphone on this Inspiron 3670.

If that is this desktop:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/prod... then there is no webcam or microphone. They usually only come on laptops.

What I'd do is buy a webcam with microphone like one of these from Amazon:

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
