Issues Connecting to PC using TDP

Hi, so I'm having issues getting RDP to work via any remote client, but only when away from the LAN connection.

I have attempted port forwarding the server IP using port 3389, but It didn't appear to work. I thought it could be the internal Firewall, so I tried adding a rule for the port 3389. After this didn't work I tried disabling the Windows Firewall all together. Nope, the next step I tried was to change the dedicated port via REGEDIT to 443, this didn't work either. To make matters worse, this actually broke it from functioning at all. Naturally, I reverted my changes and it's back to working over LAN, but I still can't access it when using any other connection.

I can confirm the my port Forwarding has been entered correctly, so please don't suggest this. I have also disabled my Modems Firewall, and still no dice. Please help.

    :)

  4. Issues Connecting to PC using TDP

    PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
