Windows 10: Issues installing Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Edition

I just got a copy of Zoo Tycoon 2 today and wanted to install it on my computer. It goes through disc 1 and 2 without issue. I insert Disc 3 the bar fills completely sits for a bit and gives me error 1305 and says to verify that the file x302_000.z2f is there I think. The file is on the disc obviously but I'm stumped. The discs all look very clean no scratches or blemishes. I am running as admin so that shouldn't be an issue.


I have Windows 10 Home 64bit Version 1803 OS build 17134.829 (Updating atm to version 1903)

Unable to install Zoo Tycoon 2 - Ultimate Collection

Have had the following error notifications:

Error 1006: The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid.

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.

Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDM for more information.

Error 55.The specified network resource or device is no longer available.

I had the original version of 'Zoo Tycoon 2' installed (purchased back when it was initially released) that was running fine.

My attempts to install 'Zoo Tycoon 2 - Ultimate Collection' seems to have uninstalled 'Zoo Tycoon 2' from my computer.

I have attempted to resolve this issue on my own by following instructions given to other people with the same sort of issue on other forums here. Nothing has worked.

Please help.
