Windows 10: Issues regarding Minecraft Windows 10 Edition gift code.

Ok, so I bought Minecraft Java Edition way back in 2012 when I was about 8. Knowing this, i wanted to download Minecraft for Windows 10 and I knew that I could get it free. So i went to the Mojang thing, got my code and clicked redeem on the website. Then it took me to the Microsoft Store page. It still said the game was 20 something quid, but I assumed that the code had already been applied, and hit 'Buy.' How stupid that was. It came up with that annoying, rotating 'downloading' thing on a blank white window, and then it said that I owned the game. And now I'm super worried that a £20 pound bill is going to be run up on my dad's credit card, and the I'll be totally, utterly f****d. I'm hoping that, with evidence of having owned and redeemed a code, I will be able to get a refund and still own the game, but I know that part of the policy thing is 'No Refunds.' Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance,

Unfortunately it says this is a question about something stupid because, conveniently, there is no section for help regarding the MS Store. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Minecraft Windows 10 Edition code already reedemed

Hi,

Are you sure you're logging into the Windows Store with the account that you redeemed the code to?

• If you login to Mojang Account please look under "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta" and check to make sure that the code is marked as claimed. You can make sure it is by checking the date that it was redeemed on.

• If the item is not listed, you should contact Mojang support and they will assist you on the issue.

• If it is listed, then that means you successfully redeemed the code to a Microsoft account. When you did so, you were asked to login to a Microsoft account. This was the account that you redeemed the code to.

• Please go over to https://account.microsoft.com/ and check under the "Recent purchaces" header and check if "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta" is listed. If it is not, you are using the wrong Microsoft account.

• If you're not sure which account you used, you should contact Xbox support (for Step 1, use "Xbox on Windows 10"; for Step 2 under Store select "Purchase verification"; and you should be able to call/chat with Xbox support) and let them know you are unsure
  which account you redeemed the code to.
