Windows 10: Issues with microsoft Store and game installs

Hello,


Ive been having an issue, specifically with Sea of Thieves, i install it, play it and once ive left my computer and restarted it another day, the app has encountered an error and needs re-installed, unlike steam which normally has a verify option i need to fully re-install which would be fine if not for the strangely slow download speeds via the store which i compared, at seperate times ofcourse to be fair. so in conclusion:


- App consistently encountering error and needing re-installed after a computer restart

- Microsoft store speeds slower than other similiar apps I.E Origin, Blizznet and Steam


Any help would be appreciated as this is obviously causing a lot of bother for a gaming PC.

Install Microsoft Store Game In Specific Folder

Moreover, you could always choose a preferred location from the Store settings, or move installed content to a different drive. In case you have the OS installed on an SSD and have a dedicated drive for games, the feature will make it more convenient to
download games to a dedicated drive before initiating the download.

You can follow the steps below on how to install Windows Store apps on a separate drive:

• Open Settings.
  
• Click on System.
  
• Click on Storage.
  
• Under "Save locations," and on "New apps will save to," select the new drive location.

Once you completed the steps, new apps you download from the Windows Store will now install automatically in the new location.

Using games from the microsoft store

Based on the results you've obtained, this can be an issue with the Windows Store which affects the digital games you’ve downloaded from it. We suggest manually resetting the Windows Store cache. Here are the steps:

• Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
• Type WSReset.exe and click OK.
• The Store and a command prompt will now open with any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.

I can't reinstall my previously installed games!!!

It appears that you're having an issue installing your previous games after reinstalling Windows 10. We would like to know if it is only happening when you're installing your games or is it also happening when you're installing an app from Microsoft Store.

Meanwhile, we suggest clearing Windows Store's cache by performing these steps:

• Type wsreset.exe then hit Enter.
