Windows 10: Issues with Yahoo mail not receiving or sending

I recently received an email from sky on 8th June saying they were doing maintenance on their system, see email below."Please be informed that we are currently undergoing service maintenance to enhance email performance and security, During this period we're deactivating all inactive Sky accounts.Please confirm if your Sky account is still active by verifying your account" Please note, I only have Yahoo mail which was through Sky, I don't have anything else from Sky.I clicked on the link they sent and went through the process. I thought everything was ok, but since doing this I have not recei

Yahoo account won't receive mail


I've started using Mail app in Wndows 10 on a trial basis, on my desktop PC.

I've added my Yahoo mail account and can send emails but cannot receive them.

I tried using a solution offered in a post on another thread, by logging into my Yahoo account, and going to security to add a specific password for my account for apps, but cannot find any option to do this.

The only option it offers is to use/disable less secure options.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update: Mail started being received 30 minutes after I had sent it from another email client.

Gripes about Mail app:

• Emails can't be saved to desktop
• Font defaults can't be set size and text chosen, eg Arial

 

Issue with yahoo mail on Microsoft Edge

• Is the issue specific to yahoo mail?
• Did you try sending mail from a different browser?
• Did you receive any error message?
• Did you install ant third party security application?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to clear all caches and cookies and check if it helps.

  Hub icon (three horizontal lines at top bar) and then click History Icon.

  Now click “Clear all history“.

  Now select “Cookies and saved website data” and “Cached data and files” and click

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to try running Windows store app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Type troubleshooting in the
  Search area on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left panel of the Troubleshooting Windows.

  Select Windows store Apps.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instruction.

N9 Yahoo mail can't send mail

I am also having same issue while sending emails from nokia email(former ovi mail).

Tried all possible suggestions and still no luck.



If I understand correctly, N9 also has issues whilev sending Yahoo mail as well?
