It looks like you don’t have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account.

Today, I bought a game from the Microsoft Store website. Once I bought it, I clicked on "Install to my device". Then, a message came up saying "It looks like you don’t have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account.". I have no idea why this popped up since I have my Microsoft account linked my Windows 10 computer that is completely up to date and also my Xbox Live account linked to it, if I could install it from there.

    :)

  3. linking this device to my microsoft acount to use xbox app or other microsoft progams

    Hi Seef,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We'd like to get more information regarding the issue.

    1. Do you have child account?
    2. Are you using Microsoft Store link to download the app?
    3. Check if you are able to download the app in your Dad’s account?

We would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

    1. Try to sign out and sign in back in to computer.
    2. Try to sign in to Microsoft store app with your Microsoft account
    3. Then try downloading the app from the Microsoft Store App.

    Looking forward to your response.

Unable to remove my microsoft account from a linked pc

    Hi Dave,

To help you with your concern in deleting your Microsoft account from a device, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Have you tried deleting your Microsoft account directly from the old laptop?
    • How did you go about removing the account from the old laptop?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you create a new local account with admin rights first, then remove the current Microsoft account by following the steps on this

    article
    .

We look forward to your response.

    Thank you.
