    It wont restart


    I hard reset my laptop. So everything was erased. It was installing windows when i accident shut it down. Everytime it says that unexpected error has occured. It says press ok and it will restart. But its just an endless loop. I dont know how to fix it. I tried shift and f10 but that didnt work. I dont know what to do. Please help

    Inexplicable restarts

    Thanks for your patient help and analysis, zbook. I'll step through some of your suggestions over the next few days - there's a lot to do and some look a bit hairy! That is, for a PC that is working sweetly right now...

    Meanwhile, as requested in the BSOD thread (sorry, I misunderstood and posted there by mistake), I've attached both ZIP files.

    One step I did try right away was to answer your question about whether my BIOS is up-to-date. I had no success at the AMI site but did get some info from this commercial site:

    Wont shutdown 100%

    Hi,

    This issue may have occurred due to some broken system file components. To help you on this, we suggest that you reset and restore all default power plans to its default settings. Please follow the steps below:

    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
    • Type powercfg –restoredefaultschemes and press
      Enter.
    • Restart your device to apply the changes.

    Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.
