    iTunes/Disney+ 4K


    Ok, so my iTunes library contains 4K content (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Star Trek, Mad Max: Fury Road etc) and has the 4K badge on my iPhone 8.

    I have a compatible 4K TV with (not the greatest) HDR support and a 6700k/1080 ti and The Nvidia control panel confirms it’s all HDCP compliant. Why then are my movies in iTunes not showing up as 4K? Or am I missing something in this picture? I understand that iTunes only streams 4K, but I don’t even have the badge (whereas my itty bitty iPhone 8 says it’s 4K?!).

    And is there legitimately no way to get Disney+ in 4K on pc yet ‍♂️?

    iTunes won't connect to my iTunes Media directory

    1. Uninstall iTunes completely. (I suggest using Geek Uninstaller. In my experience this does a good job of clearing remnants.)
    2. Download and install latest iTunes from Apple, not Windows Store (Never use the Windows Store for iTunes.)
    3. Check whether the Apple version allows you to point to your old media store.

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

    We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.

    No worries. Looks like Microsoft is forcing me to buy a Roku stick so i can enjoy the service in 5.1 and 4K. Just seems odd that Microsoft wouldn't release an actual app for what's becoming very popular. Netflix and others have an app, why not Disney???
    Oh well, typical of Microsoft to do something stupid!
