Windows 10: iTunes not opening

Hi team.


This morning I discovered that my iTunes will not open, even though it worked fine a few days ago when I last used it.

I have contacted Apple and they tried to troubleshoot including many attempts at installing via the Microsoft Store. Although the installation works fine, I am unable to launch.


This is very annoying as I need to backup my phone and also want to sync my music.


Help would be appreciated.

itunes opening automatically on login

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to stop iTunes to open automatically:

• 
  Open Task Manager.
  
• 
  Select the Startup Tab.
  
• 
  Right click any app in the Startup menu and select Disable.
  

If this does not fix the issue, then this needs to be taken care during installation of iTunes, so you may uninstall iTunes and reinstall it and make sure you check for the startup option during the setup wizard of iTunes.

In order to understand the issue in a better manner, please share the details.

  What is the make and model of your computer?
  
• 
  Since when did the issue started happening?
  
• 
  Have you made any changes in settings prior to the issue?
  
• 
  Do you receive any error code or error message on the screen?
  

I would suggest you to install the iTunes as an administrator, right click on iTunes and click on “Run as the Administrator”. Check if that helps.

If the issue persists, run the SFC.

Follow the below steps:

• Open Command Prompt.
• Select “Run as Administrator”.
• Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit Enter.

Now check for the issue.

itunes buring a cd???

yeah other buring apps work and it's just a dvd burner. i can export the playlist but i cant load it into anything els cus itunes saves the play list as a notepad file. it will only open in itunes.
