Hi there

Problem in London -- too many mega high concrete buildings in parts (plus zillions of "Buy to Leave" empty flats at 1 MILLION GBP a pop for Chinese investors and Russian Money deposits) -- 5GHZ Wifi while good doesn't travel well through piles of thick concrete !!!

But in any case I still prefer to download music on to HDD and then copy what I want to any portable devices I have -- with streaming it's not possible to find a lot of the things you might want and how long in any case is the music currently on stream likely to be available for.

I'm also in general against subscriptions for this that and the other -- before you know it you'll be spending out a lot of money every month without realising it.

I got rid of PHONE subscription (pay as you go is cheap enough these days --that's around 40EUR a month saved, got rid of 90% of the SKY channels I don't watch - savings there of around 80 EUR a month - the films etc are available on NETFLIX / Amazon prime - just have SKY for SPORT mainly), amazon prime I-off yearly around 80 EUR .

The only subscription things I do now is NETFLIX 4K UHD) at around 8 EUR, Decent Internet at 1Gb/s for around 25 EUR a month and energy/water which is negligible here. Property I own outright so nothing there to pay and I pay local city tax (local services etc - called different things in different countries) once a year (could get monthly on that but I prefer just to pay the whole chunk in one go and then it's gone for another year).

Nordic countries might have cold dark winters but apart possibly from a very few areas they don't tend to have mega high concrete tower buildings occupying every possible space in the cities so less problem with Internet reception - especially on 5GHZ.

This whole area sliding people into monthly subscriptions needs to be treated with care -- it's a pernicious way of getting shedloads of money without subscribers realizing it -- and even nastier -- if they change it from "Monthly Payment" - to a "Recurring Charge" it's very difficult to get the banks to stop paying it -- so look carefully at any contract and don't trust the Banks either.

At least we did put some of our Bankers in Jail and let some Banks go bust during the Financial crisis !!!!! Private depositors i.e you and me type of people are guaranteed in EU and EEA up to 90,000 EUR against Bank failures (per Bank) anyway

How is this Store version vs the software version? (people that are using it)

 

I installed it on my laptop and both look identical. You need to install the app for each account. Installing the app removes the desktop program and associated Apple software except Apple Application Support which I had to remove manually.
