Windows 10: I've been having a problem with recording stuff on my computer.

So i have two microphones, one for gaming, the other one for recording.

I do covers, gaming videos, and whatnot. But i can't solve the issue of the sound.



When i try to record a cover, i can barely hear my voice, and i've used both microphones, to make sure the problem wasn't one or another, both are very professional and expensive, so the quality isn't the problem.



Tried many things, but i can't seem to fix the problem. I also tried many different softwares for recording, and nothing, nothing helps, my voice keeps seeming distant and i can't barely hear myself, is there anything that i can do?



Windows is legit, and the computer is fairly recent, i bought it last year.



Edit: On Discord, Skype, etc, works just fine, people can hear me alright.

We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

Steps Recorder there... but not there


I seemed to have been saved by a link to this fix:
Please use regedit to rename hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows\AppCompat - changeAppCompat to AppCompat_HOLD . Then try launching PSR again.
Tried it and now Steps Recorder seems to be working as it should.
But to follow up on your suggestion, I'm going to try to find and repair the corrupt files that my sfc scan found... after setting a restore point!
