Windows 10: .Jar files keep downloading as a internet explorer thing not even a fill, though I have Java.

Then ever I install a .Jar file it does not install as Java or even a file. Dash_The Doodle has the same problem as me but it was a little while ago. I did both the first thing to resolve my problem but it did not work so I did the second one and I got up to " Locate the .jar file type and choose a default application." but it only lets my choose internet explorer but that it the thing that is not working, but the other option it to Look for and app in the Microsoft store which does not help. Please help.

I have the same problem, I accidentaly switched a .jar file to open with internet explorer, or notepad, I can't remember, and I forgot to unselect set it to the default, and now I can't get back to the java thing, please help.

As a side note to Easy Rhinos comment, you can only jar .class files, meaning that you need to compile all the .java files and them jar the .class files resulting from the compilation. Example:

if you know the manual then you know you dont put the code in the program, you convert all of your java class files into a jar file using their compiler.
